wk28: 3 Pivoting from the plan

+ Inorganic Growth

Consider subscribing my first project of build in public if you haven’t already.

I research and post playbooks for growth hacking using AI tools.

👋 Hey Ultrapeople, it’s Vaibhav.

In the last Ultraupdate, I told you about:

  • a sweet turn

In Today’s Issue:

  • Pivoting from the plan

  • 3 Inorganic Marketing for scaling

Inorganic Marketing

I've spent the whole week creating repeatable systems and hiring.

I've realized it's time to start delegating so I can work on the actual roadmap I had planned.

I’m failing (miserably) so far to match up with what was planned.

A business plan isn’t a surefire recipe for success.

But it is a good slate to start with, as market dynamics keep changing and there's always new information coming up. So the business plan has to be updated.

As of now, the revenue is fully dependent on ad networks - Beehiiv + Wellput. The initial plan was to just focus on alternate revenue sources (i.e., affiliates and sponsorships). But I'm inclined to double down to get the initial scaling done to afford scaling of outreach systems.

So, this week I thought I'd be doubling down on these two revenue streams instead of just focusing on outreach for sponsorships, just to get the ball rolling.

Get Your Team Booked on 3.8 Million Podcasts Automatically

It's 2025. Want to finally be a regular podcast guest in your industry? PodPitch will make it happen. Even the beehiiv team uses it!

The best way to advertise isn't Meta or Google – it's appearing on podcasts your customers love.

PodPitch.com automates thousands of weekly emails for you, pitching your team as ideal guests.

Big brands like Feastables use PodPitch.com instead of expensive PR agencies.

Inorganic Growth

It's not just mixing dirt with gold. Inorganic is good if you have a strong organic backing (which we don't currently, since we're bootstrapping and growth hacking). In only 2 months, we have to scale with inorganic and move to organic.

I started to think about what could be the biggest growth drivers for the ad networks we already have. Beehiiv is tried and tested, and Wellput is what I just started.

I narrowed down to these major verticals - leveraging Substack network effects, LinkedIn ads, and engagement campaigns (mass DM, plugging into comments).

The Substack network is already rich; if you subscribe to a newsletter, it bombards you with other newsletters, which in turn increases your reach and gets more engaged readers in their network.

LinkedIn Ads is the odd one out here, but I have a special method to leverage it in an inorganic way. I'm testing it so far. More details soon.

Plugging in and engagements is something that has already worked well for us, but it's something I was unable to add to my calendar.
