You know what? Cold prospecting sucks.

Not that I don't enjoy cold emailing and building sequences, but it feels dry and feels like scamming.

Only scamming makes more money and more easily.

Why? This is because being cold already makes a person feel something is being pushed. How do I screen it down?
UNLESS - it's a problem that's on their desk, which is making them sleepless at night thinking about it.

For my ecom business, I am always looking for better freight forwarders, and for my newsletter, I'd gladly take anyone who wants me to promote them.

The second way is building relationships, deeply understanding their pain points, and helping them without pushing your **** (offer) down their throat. Instead, maybe referring a service or a friend that you know is great, maybe offering some help without expecting anything in return.

It feels good, and they might come back to you in the future with a referral - or they might not!

It shouldn't matter. I'm not saying don't market yourself or get your offers everywhere. But be a meaningful human being - be a giver, not a value taker.

This is what I'm planning to do for the next 2 months (while doing cold prospecting in a new way). That's it, one of the biggest changes.
