UltraUpdate Week 7: The Workcation Myth & AI Tool Revolution

The Workcation myth

I have a dream. I have a dream to work like a digital nomad with high productivity.

I have been on 2-3 of these workcation (work + vacation) trips.

I have tried doing this in Goa, Bangalore, and Dubai. I have failed miserably. I have never achieved ‘growth’ when I am travelling; its mostly operational things that are already set up or learning through courses, blogs and books.

But I could never work on goals or task list. It’s just too distracting for me.

I thought the reason was that I never had work that was suitable for a workcation.

But this time I travelled as a parttime content creator/researcher/marketer.

I planned a trip to one of my favorite places.

Rishikesh. The place is full of peace, yoga culture, amazing vegan food (for those who don’t know, I’m very diet conscious and do not eat gluten) so it’s a perfect place me. I thought to myself ‘why don’t I try working from here’.

I called my friends that we would stay and work, however the plan was chaotic and didn’t turn out to be fruitful. I could not work on any of my goals this week.

but then, everything has a silver lining. I am now more pumped to charge ahead with the newsletter launch and promotions.

I am now excited to get some revenue flowing as soon as I start to push out emails this week. Fingers Crossed

Current Status:

The Video Editors hunt is still going on.

Engagement bots have made some progress. I found a great dev who has started working on the project and has some good progress.

AI tools recommendation engine is ready with reddit+database finder; I just need to find tune the product with a cleaned database and a limit of free (re)searches before you have to enter email.

Newsletter website is yet to be setup along with the lead gen (recommendation engine).

Emailing content for leads for newsletter is yet to be setup and ICP method is to be tested.
