👋 Hey Ultrapeople, it’s Vaibhav.

In the last Ultraupdate, I told you about:

  • Why Emailing is the most underrated media

  • My plan

  • Truth about Email Deliverability

  • Update on BGW AI Tools Recommendation Engine

In Today’s Issue:

  • Lil Slowpoke

  • Optimism

  • Parting Wisdom

Lil Slowpoke

If I were to look at myself through a crystal ball how I’m doing. I’d probably look like this Pokémon too.

If you can’t tell I loved cartoons as a kid. (I’m a grown up kid)

Why did this happen?

I feel that due to my tendency to be distracted into multiple threads. I expanded this project into a lot of mini projects within BGW(BotsGoneWild - for those who are new here)

But the good news is I acknowledged this early on and I’m minimising my focus by either eliminating or delegating tasks.

For the coming week, I am planning to strictly stick to my goals. That is, launch newsletter first with an MVP lead magnet and then start the other advanced things like database addition, script writing for the videos, characters generations, animations, engagementX testing, lead generation, programmatic SEO, and so on.

I’ll take help from chatgpt to help me figure out how to mold my routine to fit focused mode. Especially how to shape up my ecommerce business so I can systemise a lot.

With that said, today is the day 60 of the challenge (around one quarter of total) , and I feel like it’s board exam days, where I kept counting days but not studying until it was super necessary.

FYI I’m someone who’s so consistent in not doing anything extra until it’s completely necessary. I got 75% in my 10th grade, 12th grade and even my Graduation!

🤩 Optimism

Now that we’ve gone through the problem, we have the disaster mitigation planned.

As I plan the next week for execution with focus. I have already:

  • warmed up emails,

  • Researched about dos and don’ts for deliverability

  • Prepared a basic version of EngagementX ready to be tested.

That’s actually some good progress.

The plan is to Ship MVPs soon, this includes:

  • Recommendation Engine with the database

  • if possible the ‘pro’ mode with reddit integration.

Mini-Test

The emails are warmed up, so now I’m planning to send lead magnets. This way, people can input their emails, and I’ll get them on another list.

But here’s the thing: I’m still working on scraping those 10k emails. Right now, I’m only at 3k because Apollo keeps banning accounts for 7days.

I think I need to wait at least 1 minute between each email and scrape no more than 500 emails a day. But that would be super slow.

I can simultaneously scrape more however there’s a chance of repetition, or I write another complex script which would be another digression.

Here’s my plan: I want to offer these businesses a service. It could be email marketing lead generation, targetted facebook ads for facebook groups (even to the ones can’t be accessed) or making newsletter for them as a service.

I plan to keep the service at $2-3k/mo and out of the 10k emails, goal is to at least close a single client.

Parting Wisdom

Years ago, I read "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse. There's a part where Siddhartha, looking to become wealthy, goes for a job interview with a merchant. When asked about his skills, Siddhartha simply says:

  1. I can fast

  2. I can think

  3. I can wait

Back then, I couldn't really grasp the deeper meaning. But now, after reading "Tools of Titans," Tim Ferriss's take on it makes a lot of sense:

"I can think" → Having good rules for decision-making, and knowing the right questions to ask yourself and others.

"I can wait" → Being able to plan long-term, play the long game, and not waste your resources.

"I can fast" → Being able to handle tough times and disasters. Training yourself to be super resilient and handle a lot of pain.

It's cool how these simple ideas can mean so much more when you dig deeper!
