Why Emailing is the most underrated media

I’m kinda glad not everyone knows how awesome email marketing is.

It is crazy how underrated it is.

Even in the age of very low attention spans, email is the best source out there.

I’m not saying this just because I’m doing it, but because I’ve tried paid media channels like meta and google ads, content marketing, influencers marketing, push notifications and so on.

But Email is amazing for many reasons

1)Its yours. No one can take your email list from you.

Remember when Apple messed up everyone’s Facebook ads last year?  

2) Cheap af

3) Highly Scalable. You can go big, reallly fast.

4) You can get really specific. Segmented lists makes it easy to send different stuff to different people.

I have been studying people who absolutely have killed it with emails. Some of the folks like Cody Schneider, Oskar Moen, and this guy Nick Abraham who is doing 1.5M+ emails monthly. That’s wild!

Here’s stats of Oskar for example:

He nearly made a dollar for every email sent, which is mind blowing.

My plan

The idea spreads around how much volume can you do, how good is your copywriting and how relevant and good is your offer.

The way to get people to buy your product, service or subscribe is to test different ideal customer profiles (ICPs).

It’s the same way we test different audiences in google or meta ads.

Ideally you shouldn’t be sending cold emails in bulk to people, however if your ideal customer profile is relevant and positively reacting to your test segmented emails, you can rinse and repeat by testing more and more.

I’m planning to do this. I bought 4 domains at $2 each and 2 inboxes each. I have setup and started the warming up. After a lot of research to find which is most easiest and free way to warmup multiple inboxes in bulk. It was with Mails.ai for free.

I will start emailing after 10days slowly to 30-50 emails daily through each inbox.

After warming up for approximately 2-3weeks, I will increase the outbound to 100 and in a month to 250. After doing that for 2 months I will have to buy more domains and rotate the inbox. However this is just an experiment, if this goes well, I plan to plan a scaling strategy.

I’m still brainstorming how to redirect from email to newsletter.

Truth about Email Deliverability

We’re are slowly seeing landing inbox getting harder, and within few years it will be very difficult.

I’ve read so much about emailing lately and still feel confused.

Warming up email is one of the most debated thing on the internet about email marketing.

Here’s a thread I really loved and really in depth guide about email deliverability.

The one tool to check your inboxes would be this 

If you are too lazy to read. I’ll say there are different ways to go about this, one way is email inboxes with multiple domains and warming up. The caveat with warming up is even if 5-10 people mark your email as spam, you need to throw away the inbox.

Another alternate would be to cold email using IP address called SMTP, but proxies which allow smtp are rare and expensive.

There are other grey hat methods too but that’s for another letter.

Update on BGW AI Tools Recommendation Engine

I spent a day on updating the AI tools recommendation engine.

Added a persistent popup to join the newsletter in every 2 seconds, I know this is too harsh, but I’m trying to figure out the best and easiest method to promote signups.

It will cost me approximately $20-30 for 1000 searches, so I am hoping I do not get viral while I’m giving out for free lol.

Apart from that I added a side bar, logo and saving the searches. Next features would be to have a page of saved searches, and a pro-mode which will include reddit search as well.
