๐ Hey Ultrapeople, itโs Vaibhav.
In the last Ultraupdate, I told you about:
๐น Stopping to smell the roses
In Todayโs Issue:
Website and Platform of choice
Priority #1
Website and Platform of choice
It's been the third week of writing in my newsletter about launching the website, but the delay was for no apparent reason.

The good news is that I was able to crack a method to use Framer website for free. Now, don't start with "you should pay" etc. Bootstrapping a business is hard, and you can either donate time or money. I spend time - just a little, because I use Gigabrain and Perplexity Pro to research.
Figuring out the setup was the difficult part, as I do audience testing on multiple Substacks since it's easier to grow there.
Substack, however, is not the newsletter-first platform. I had tough competition for the platform of choice between ConvertKit, Ghost, and Beehiiv. Beehiiv was my choice as I couldn't resist features like Beehiiv Boost, ads network, and the good editor for newsletters. I just find it hard to migrate as the Substacks grow.
Another problem was the decision of TLD. The .com domain was already taken.
.com TLD is like no other. According to Google, .co and .net are also gTLDs, and there's no difference between TLDs. But people on Reddit were arguing that everything else apart from .com is inferior.
I could have taken .ai, but that was double the price. I finally went on a research spree to check the TLDs of top newsletters.
Luckily, 'thehustle.co' was .co, and I thought I will buy the .ai and possibly .com once I've earned some profits. Otherwise, it's not wise - I'd rather spend every penny acquiring subscribers.

Priority #1
Priority remains the same: monetization.
I read many newsletters, Reddit threads, and watched YouTube videos. There was a single piece of advice common amongst all: Get Monetized ASAP.
That's why all my tasks revolve around this ladder. I plan to aim for getting sponsored in two weeks. Fingers crossed.
I got advice to ask myself how I plan to monetize this and then work backward from there.
I have 3 options:
Sell subscribers
Sell space
Sell service/product
As of now, the first seems most doable, then the second, and finally the third.
On the side, I plan to keep growing Substack and testing different audiences. It'll be my playground, and the website will be the show.
